KCRA reports that a man was found stabbed in the middle of the intersection of North C and Ahern streets at midnight last night, and that he was taken to the hospital. The location is where Loaves & Fishes warehouse / Welcoming Center is located.
There is no word as yet of the name of the man who was stabbed. Word from homeless fellows at Loaves & Fishes this morning is that the man died at UC Medical Center, and that there is quite a scene at the intersection with the police conducting preliminary investigations. News reports do not confirm that the man is deceased; Fox's last report was that the man was in surgery as of 7:30am. But the reported gruesome nature of the crime [See Fox video below.] may be an indicator that there was little or no expectation that he could survive his wounds.
A “felony assault” team is investigating the incident, KCRA tells us.

Police believe two homeless men got in a fight, leaving one in the hospital and a gruesome crime scene in Downtown Sacramento Friday.Of course, what Fox is calling a "Homeless Shelter" is notoriously NOT a homeless shelter, but the new multimillion-dollar admin office, warehouse and money-gathering center of Loaves & Fishes.
Investigators believe the suspect was a bald man and stabbed the 30-year-old victim multiple times near The Loaves and Fishes Homeless Shelter. Police found shoes, bloody clothes and the streets spotted with blood near the building.
They believe the suspect was also stabbed and went southbound after leaving the North C Street crime scene.
Comments
After being a quick story by the two local TV stations on the morning after the bloody fight, there was no follow-up news on the tragedy.
I do wonder if the forces in the city that protect Loaves & Fishes determined it might scare people from delivering their donations and money to the L&F Administration.
Before I became homeless, I believed the police were always the good guys and the newspapers made a robust effort to get the truth of anything important out to the public. I was a complete rube.
Once I was blind, but now I see.
